Javier de la Torre
Senior Project Manager, Immersive Learning Experience Team
Innovation Center of Excellence, Adtalem Global Education
Javier has been managing software development projects since 2009, ranging from small updates all the way to revamping applications that serve thousands of users. He is a detail-oriented, highly efficient colleague with a focus on problem-solving and both internal and external customer satisfaction.
He graduated with honors from DeVry University with a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Management with specialization in Operations Management and with a Master's degree in Business Administration with specialization in Project Management. In 2018, he also became a certified PMP (Project Management Professional) and a certified Scrum Master.
Javier is originally from Argentina and has been living in the United States since 2001 in Los Angeles, California. In the summer of 2013, he was very proud to become a US citizen! He is happily married to his beautiful wife Christina. Together they have four beautiful daughters and two amazing grandkids.
When he is not glued to a computer screen, he spends time with his family, working on electronic projects, fooling around as a ham radio operator (does anybody know what that is…? His call sign is K1USC...) and working on fixing the house.
Currently, Javier is also trying to keep up with the latest in technology by improving his programming skills in Python, Machine Learning and Cloud Computing.
